江水英和老三、胡子明偷偷也来到庵东镇，胡子明看上翻译的王八盒子枪，与日军翻译起了冲突，打死翻译，抢走了枪。枪声引来了日本兵，萧寒为保护江水英他们，冒险引开敌人。虽然大家有惊无险逃脱了，但江水英、胡子明不听指挥任意妄为的行为，让萧寒担心队伍的纪律问题。陈汉生部无心抗日，冯东野厌倦他和张恒的种种不堪，变得越来越消沉。郑英达代表上级来宣布成立三北办事处，也就意味着浙东地区抗日游击根据地正式成立。萧寒被任命为支队长，王茂林为政委，江水英为第一副队长，老梁为第二副支队长。 萧寒不见踪影，郑英达一打听才知，萧寒为江水英和胡子明不听指挥而伤心绝食惩罚自己。
