无忌四出侦查金毛狮王与芷若踪迹，终发现芷若被丐帮所困，软硬兼施逼她供出有关屠龙刀下落，遂乘机胁持帮主，令丐帮释放芷若，丐帮弟子不忿。 后丐帮发现帮主非史火龙本人，连揭发陈友谅暗施诡计安排，使成昆杀害帮主，陈友谅立畏罪而逃。无忌无意中发现青书被友谅威胁，向武当弟子下毒，以图侵占武当势力，立向不悔告密。另一方面，其实远桥等一直以为声谷被无忌所害，对他早有戒心。故当不悔欲揭发青书罪状时，青书却犹豫不决不敢下手。武当弟子以为不悔被无忌蒙骗，对无忌误解更深。 张三丰眼见无忌在翠山夫妇坟前泣诉，发现他含冤莫白，立允替他调查真相。 宋远桥找着忌、敏时，向二人大事理论，刚巧友谅与青书至，数人匿在一旁，揭发青书恶行，令远桥晴天霹雳，决向青书追杀。武当弟子发现忌、敏为无辜，主动与二人和解。
