天野博士带着勇太郎、健太和阿遥去百货商店的波斯秘宝展观看展示中的真红钻石，怀疑天野准备盗窃钻石的佐津田刑警过来捣乱，搞得勇太郎和天野祖孙失散。勇太郎在厕所遇到2个计划偷钻石的小偷“一平和五郎”（CV：中村大树&富田晃介），听说他们家境困难于是跟着他们回家想帮助他们。健太和阿遥担心整晚没回家的勇太郎，于是来到百货商店，遇到了前来偷真红钻石的薛拉。现场陷入火海，良心发现的2位小偷帮助勇太郎一起救人。薛拉把偷走的钻石安装在机器人的镭射炮上，其强大的威力一度使火鸟号和先锋号陷入苦战，后用镜子反射破坏光线将其击败。
