老虎不肯接受文宾与枝山要他用护心镜保护自己，三人争执间竟将镜跌出营帐，令宁王摔倒；幸宁王垂涎女装文宾的美色，才使众人幸免于难。文宾藉表演亲近宁王，但可惜功亏一篑兼身分败露。老虎为协助文宾与枝山逃走使出浑身解数，但被士兵追上；老虎力竭昏倒。 秀英睹画思人，担心文宾战死沙场时却突然看见文宾出现。在床上挂念枝山的桂菲，竟发现枝山出现在床际。并蒂的众弟子劝她尽早替老虎安排「冥婚」；正当她六神无主之际，三娘突然出现。在王家苏醒过来的老虎，看到三娘在眼前，主动将耳环再送给她，更把自己一直以来的想法告知。原来三娘在离开王家后，竟与养育自已的师父貌合神尼再次相遇。文宾死况逃生，但因为领兵失败全军覆没，只得硬着头皮向刘瑾覆命。 文宾与老虎等人把酒谈心之际，众人发觉文宾心事重重；枝山等人进入文宾房欲向他查问究竟，始知道他收到刘瑾命令，要他带三百残兵出城当诱饵引宁王攻击。另一方面，神尼竟要求三娘协助对付皇上，更要她留在老虎身旁打听消息。
