乃球心感受辱，遂发誓要发奋闯一番事业，在德辉面前出一口气。 乃球得悉培基背后的真正身份，暗中要胁他，欲捞一笔钱以作资金创业，达成理想，但仍表面上，对培基唯命是从，实则阳奉阴违。 子枫假装有孕，以图迫德辉准许她与乃球结婚，怎料德辉固执己见。 乃波明白二人真心相爱，亦愿意放弃追求子枫而成全乃球，遂亲代向德辉求情，终劝服德辉。 培基毕竟比乃球狡猾精明，反设局陷害他，令乃球背上杀人凶手的罪名。培基反要胁乃球助自己向德辉进行骗局，乃球肉在砧板上，只得应允。 德辉以为与培基此次生意合作，定会为其带来更大发展，除把所有资产作投资外，更受培基安排，需要大量现金周转。
