家人以为乃球失恋后，会终日郁郁寡欢，轮流开解他，怎料他表现比以前更轻松自如，令家人大表出奇。 一日，乃球醉酒归家，吐出他不舍得慧珊离去。家人明白他表面强作自然，内里忧伤万分，对他大表同情之余，恐怕他公干出傻事，不断在其身旁开解他。 德辉得闻好友突然死去，且最遗憾的，未能与子女冰释误会，含郁而终。他回想自己因无谓事与子枫相隔多时，但却未能抛弃自尊，低声下气与子枫和解。 肖丽努力拉拢德辉父女关系。德辉终向子枫提出当年其母不忠，被他赶走之事，子枫因而大悟，后悔一直误解德辉，主动与他和好。 子枫同情乃球，向他开解，不其然对他加深了解，感情油然而生，而乃球亦对她渐生会情愫。
