变成小猪的猪八戒目睹了翠花作为一个丑女的不幸生活，对她十分同情。猪八戒虽然变成了小猪，但依然没逃过影子猪的魔掌，猪八戒被迫答应永世做猪才逃过一死。 翠花被护国公和一个世外高人选中入宫，世外高人替她做了易容手术，将她变成了金花公主的模样。其目的是让她去寻找金花公主的有缘人，有缘人的真情一吻可以使金花公主苏醒，但是，要想找到有缘人，首先要找到一块会说话的镜子。而翠花易容的这个高人就是佛祖座前的尊者摩诃迦叶，他此举的目的一是解救曼陀罗国于苦难之中，二是收服拈花回灵山。
