猪八戒去看千年难遇的一场流星雨，一块巨型陨石的强力磁场致使他和自己的影子分离，结果，离开母体的影子变成了另外一个猪八戒。 影子猪认为现在这个猪八戒已经堕落的不成样子，没有资格在当猪八戒,决意取而代之。双方第一次交手，便以猪八戒完败告终，在影子猪的穷追不舍下，猪八戒被逼逃到域外小国——曼陀罗国，万般无奈变成一只小猪避祸，被曼陀罗国第一丑女翠花买走。 曼陀罗国的曼陀罗花三年不开，使得举国萧条，民不聊生，据说这跟曼陀罗国的金花公主三年前莫名的长睡不醒有极大关系。
