燕玉奇怪奎璧会跟少华一起，知少华有危险，伺机将他救走。奎璧带下人搜查燕玉房间，燕玉以已经宽衣就寐为由，令奎璧及其下人不敢搜其宝榻，救了少华一命。燕玉知奎璧不易罢休，决定兵行险着，将奎璧搜房一事告知刘捷，刘捷恐少华报官，竟打算先下手为强。映雪带少华去庵堂找丽君想办法救皇甫敬，不料丽君刚离开，映雪惟有安排少华暂住庵堂的精舍避难。丽君与荣兰离开庵堂后，在镇中大吃大喝，好不快活，丽君听路人提及大都的繁荣，不期然想起穆耳，决定前往大都，吓坏荣兰。穆耳回皇宫，见父真金已病入膏肓，愕然，原来可汗忽必烈鄙视汉人，将汉人御医统统赶走，耽误真金的治疗。穆耳将江南带回来的药给父喝，不料其后真金气绝身亡，忽必烈怒斥汉药害死皇太子，跟穆耳感情决裂。马可勃罗安慰穆耳，并告知决定回国，跟他辞行。
