杏野朱罗怀着 “想把患者从‘生命的修罗场’中拯救出来” 的纯粹想法，持续投身于急救工作，几乎不怎么回家。即便急救科科长大黑修二问她 “屋顶的帐篷收拾好了吗？”，她也只是随便应付了事。当朱罗被大黑唠叨着训斥，在医院走廊行走时，发现了一名蹲在地上的孕妇。朱罗和大黑慌忙跑过去，将孕妇抬到初诊室进行处理，此时孕妇竟叫出了朱罗、大黑以及护士三宝加代子的名字并致谢。朱罗等人对她知道自己的名字感到十分惊讶。就在这时，梵天太郎喊着 “美铃！！” 跑了过来。原来面带灿烂笑容的美铃是梵天的妻子。另一方面，一名被汽车撞倒、身受外伤的女性被送到医院。这位女性虽然有意识，但对他人的呼唤反应迟钝。朱罗意识到她可能听不见，便尝试通过笔谈交流。就在这时，她的父亲冲了进来。然而，女儿看到父亲的身影后，表情瞬间黯淡下来……
