だんじり祭が近づき、優子（新山千春）と直子（川崎亜沙美）が友人や家族を連れて戻ってくる。張り切って準備をする糸子（尾野真千子）。世話役の木岡（上杉祥三）や木之元（甲本雅裕）、また北村（ほっしゃん。）や三浦（近藤正臣）、そしてサエ（黒谷友香）といった多くの人々が小原家に集まる。糸子は親しい人々とともにだんじりを眺め、改めて岸和田の地への愛着を感じる。そして１２年後、糸子（夏木マリ）は７２歳を迎えた。
