时近黄昏，桑遇斐，并向他道出农乃她的亲父，当年他杀死母亲与及外公，更欲杀她灭口，幸得冰将她抚养成人，母亲临终时更托冰要桑为她报仇。洛接见斐和一，桑在旁殷勤侍侯，斐因对桑有意而感心酸。洛拒绝桑之情意，桑忍着泪夺门而出，斐好言安慰，桑感激。黑风峡内，洛等人布下陷阱捉康，得手后各人逃至光明寺汇合，岂料寺内巳被大内高手所埋伏。洛被大内十八高手围攻，众人身陷险境，幸一在赶往汇合途中，得悉众人被困，山等人即前往营救，期间斐为救桑身受重伤，桑感不知所措。洛要返回彊助青桐一臂之力，临行前嘱付桑要珍惜眼前人。
