罗笔芯要调离，欢送宴过后，明川和罗笔芯去协助派出所办案，本计划很快返回，但因道路受阻，只能到水云间度假村暂住，并奉命留意最近发生的孕妇失踪案。两人在水云间受到住客周天和她患癌症晚期的妻子杜小秋的迎接，因只剩下一间客房，明川、罗笔芯共宿一室十分尴尬，夜晚女孩林菲菲房间闹老鼠，明川判断地窖有异常，按图索骥发现地窖内一密室中的一具中年女性骸骨，初步检验发现她是被刀刺死的，南江警方立刻派人来调查。南江刑警队长夏滟是一直爱慕明川的师妹，一出现便与罗笔芯气氛尴尬。水云间的老板丁民富说自己发现那个女人时已经死了，只是藏尸，还拿了尸体上的十万元钱，藏而不报正是为了这笔钱，正是这笔钱让他有了水云间这份产业。夏滟以丁民富为第一嫌疑人展开调查，罗笔芯却感觉丁民富没有说谎，但明川的尸检结果增加了丁民富的嫌疑。与此同时，水云间附近山上的溶洞中，还在进行着另一桩案件。
