班淑前去营救卫英，遇到了来接应的忠叔和月锦。月锦有一个远近闻名的歌舞班子，班淑深知硬闯监牢是不可能救出卫英的，决定和月锦一起排演一个节目，这样才能在漠南的祭天礼上见到变成囚犯的卫英。这期间，班淑让忠叔扮成草原上的三公主的亲信，去给刘萱送了信，表示会想办法带她一起走。班淑与月锦日夜苦练歌舞，以一曲刀舞在大头人的祭天礼上大放异彩。大头人对两人的表演赞赏不已，便许诺可以给月锦任何奖赏。月锦见机会来了，便指着被绑在祭天台上的卫英，说想要他给自己做贴身男奴。大头人一听，犹豫了起来。月锦立刻装作不高兴的样子，认为大头人说话不算话。
