《七武士》的企画在四个月前就泡汤了。而大杉涟为了找出偷底片的“犯人”，隐瞒了事实，仍让大家一起生活。得知真相后，其余五个人气冲冲地搬离了别墅。这时，大杉偶遇因出轨丑闻而一度陷入窘境的泷藤贤一。泷藤说自己怀着从零开始、重新奋斗的心理准备，不断接工作，从而重新让业界接受了自己。听了他的话，大杉觉得他也得做些什么挽回大家的信任。于是，他跑到各个电视台，接下许多工作，把日程排得满满的，还挤出时间接下田口因档期冲突不得不回绝的低成本电影。结果大杉因为体力不支病倒了。田口等人听到消息后主动替他完成了工作。
