突然，斑目法律事务所里多位警察造访，对深山以杀人的嫌疑逮捕了。佐田和彩乃还没来得及惊讶，就前往拘留所接见深山，但是深山却完全不正经跟他们讲话。根据警方的调查，深山与名为铃木的男人在饭店见面。铃木在吃了深山用自制调味料进行过调味的料理后，痛苦地倒下，在送院后不就就死去了。而在深山家里被押收的个人电脑里，发现了毒品的购买记录。面对似乎难以动摇的证据，深山在拘留所里开始寻找“真相”。
