瑠璃决定和濑户一起做暑假的自由研究。濑户在河边发现了一块橙色的矿物，却因为脚下一滑把矿物弄丢了。瑠璃找凪商量之后，决定山林协助伊万里进行萤石的调查。调查内容是通过水质来追溯产地。最后，濑户丢失的那块石头也用同样的方法找到了。
