梅念萱向包公具呈其详，包公命展昭连夜赶往三柳镇调查原委。朱家大总管董镇山带回了人称“魔剑七凶”的杀手意欲除去白玉堂。白玉堂投资的大器小吃店终于开张，仗着芸儿的好手艺，小店还算兴隆。晚上打烊后，芸儿和成大器在街角遇上抱着宝刀寻找白玉堂的朱永贵，原来朱永贵居然从自家的当铺偷出宝刀还给了白玉堂。朱永贵刚走，董镇山就来下战书。莅日未时，白玉堂在庙前广场大斗“魔剑七凶”，正落下风之时，展昭赶到，从旁点破“北斗七星剑阵”的漏洞，助白玉堂破了剑阵。朱长富连日不适，大夫瞧过后推测是有人下毒，并怀疑到章丰奕的身上。躲在门外的章丰奕偷听后嘱咐朱夫人冯曼莲尽快收拾值钱物件，两人连夜出逃。虚弱的朱长富摸黑来到朱夫人冯曼莲的房间里，他看到了一室的狼藉，惊异之后终于醒悟，气极之下被桌子腿绊倒，昏倒在地。
