何强原与晓晴合谋，想玩弄有业的感情，为自杀的妹妹报仇，后见祝家富有，欲通过晓晴绑架有业勒索祝家；晓晴立即阻止，但不敌何强欺压，无奈答应。晓晴向有业多番暗示自己另有目标，但有业却多番包容，晓晴唯有大发脾气，终令有业一怒而去。 以方眼见有业与晓晴闹翻后心情低落，立即私下来找晓晴，为二人制造约会机会，何强得知后，认为是行动机会。约会当日，有业强拉以方充当「和事佬」，结果同遭何强所掳。何强向祝家勒索五千元，祝家上下对是否给赎金而意见不一，结果明蕙成功说服满山息事宁人，但却为筹赎金大伤脑筋，幸得国昌尽力才得以筹足所需款项。另一边厢，何强扬言要杀人灭口，晓晴受不了良心所责，欲救二人，却遭何强发现，同告受绑。 交赎金当日，何强指定由云裳交款，云裳交赎金后，有邦以正欲追查赎款下落，却为云裳为止，最终何强安然而去，但路上却遇上自行松绑的有业等人，争执期间，何强失足落下悬崖，众人安然无恙，但有业却不能原谅晓晴。
