生是电器技工，一次往富商毛宅修理电灯时错误地把毛家长子勤遭人鸡奸勒索的录影带当作卡拉OK带了回家。翌日，勤往生公司欲取回，但因双方发生误会，最后勤空手而回，生又失去老细之爱犬。 辗转勤应匪约将钱放在码头石椅上，恰巧生与好友云来到，生云见大包银纸便雀跃万分，可惜引来警察把钱带回警署，两人见财化水。 匪徒向勤再索一千万，勤被迫向天铎求助。铎一生视财如命，当然不肯就范，更安排勤上电视接受访间，务求令匪徒不能勒索。 生发觉这盒带后送回毛家，竟被在场的杂差捉了，几经解释才得放人。 威与铎同是合夥人，但两人无论在公私事上都针锋相对，狗咬狗骨。 铎因司机请假自行乘的士，竟然上错贼车，勒索的匪徒指铎坏其好事而把他绑票，铎乘夜趁机逃脱，可惜又跌落山坡受伤，后被生救出，便很感激给予生一个快乐的圣诞。
