砂漠に開いた穴に落ちた悟飯は、地下の古代遺跡で砂に埋もれたロボットを発見。ロボットは眠りを妨げるなと言うが、悟飯は嫌がられながらも何度もロボットを起こす。何かと面倒を見るうちに悟飯と打ち解けはじめるロボット。しかし、共に追跡から逃げ出そうとご飯が砂を掘り始めた途端、もろくなった遺跡の天井が…。
