パリ・オリンピック陸上短距離で祖国イギリスに金メダルをもたらした2人の若者がいた。ユダヤの血をひいている為、言われなき差別と偏見を受けてきたハロルド。彼にとって走ることは偏見に勝利することであった。一方、宣教師の家に生まれたエリックは神のため、信仰のため走った。
