La serie inizia qualche anno dopo gli avvenimenti narrati nel videogioco e la trama è strettamente legata a quest'ultimo. Il protagonista, Yugo, è l'ultimo sopravvissuto del suo popolo e viene affidato fin dall'infanzia ad Alibert per proteggerlo. Una volta compiuti dodici anni, Yugo viene a conoscenza della verità e decide di partire insieme ad altri personaggi, alla ricerca delle sue origini. La sua ricerca sarà ricca di ostacoli portandolo così ad affrontare avversari sempre più forti e situazioni imprevedibili, scoprendo sempre di più sul suo antichissimo e potente popolo e salverà il mondo dal caos per ben due volte.
