在少年向岛拓朗（水岛大宙 配音）平凡的一生中，钓鱼是他最大的爱好，他常常独自一人带着吊具来到堤岸边，享受爱好带给他快乐和自在。一次偶然中，阿拓竟然吊上了一只名叫室见（田村由香里 配音）的奇怪人鱼，这只人鱼性格开朗活泼热情，只是有些缺心眼的个性令人十分在意。 就这样，阿拓和室见之间的奇妙情缘开始了。与此同时，室见的好友，成熟稳重，渴望和人类恋爱的隅田（上坂堇 配音）、和谁都能成为好朋友的素食主义者小樋（野中蓝 配音）、身材火爆自己却完全不以为意，眼中只容得下室见的富士（原田瞳 配音）等众人鱼纷纷登场了。在大海和陆地之中，会有怎样有趣的故事即将展开呢？
