一支中国某军区的维和部队来到内战中的赛利亚地区，加入联合国维和任务。他们除了担负工程、运输、医疗等任务外，还组建了一支六人的特勤队，队长边响、副队长宋剑晨、排爆兵冯智勇和王海、医疗兵谢梦洁和网络天才秦沐阳。王海为掩护战友牺牲，少尉军官郑启寒飞抵赛利亚加入特勤队。一场瘟疫悄然蔓延，在与瘟疫斗争中，中国维和部队医疗大队夜以继日营救被感染的赛利亚平民，赛利亚的武装分子和恐怖分子趁火打劫，制造恐慌，特勤队护送来自国际的医疗专家团队深入疫区，最终战胜了肆虐的瘟疫。一次次维和行动中，队员们之间的感情也在升温。在联合国维和部队的斡旋下，赛利亚内战停止。特勤小组接受了最后一项任务，护送牺牲的战友回家。为维和世界和平，中国军人永远在以实际行动付出着 。
