金仁河（李秉宪 饰）从小就过着漂泊不定朝不保夕的动荡生活，他所结识的朋友，不是社会地位底下的小混混就是为人所不齿的卖身女，然而，金仁河本性善良又讲义气，深得朋友们的喜爱和信赖。一场意外中，金仁河锒铛入狱，在狱中，他不改本性，又结交了一群生死相依的朋友们。 出狱后，想要金盆洗手的金仁河却被迫重新坐上的赌桌，尽管赢得了赌局，却也弄得身败名裂，不得不隐姓埋名，东躲西藏。之后，金仁河被黑手党老大看重，加入了黑道，过了一段腥风血雨的日子。离开了黑道，金仁河重新回到了赌坛，这一次，他潜心深造，闭关修炼，终于成为了一代赌圣，而他和青梅竹马秀娟（宋慧乔 饰）之间的恋情，亦在风雨飘摇之中修成了正果。
