Polis memuru Than, özel bir hastane sahibinin en küçük oğlu olan Pheem’i koruma işi alır. Hastanenin açılış günü, Pheem’e suikast girişimi yapılır. Neyse ki Than zamanında müdahale ederek onu kurtarır. Pheem, Than’ın yeteneklerinden etkilenir ve ondan kişisel koruması olmasını ister. Than rahat, açık sözlü ve neşeli bir adamdır. Pheem ile daha fazla vakit geçirdikçe onun tamamen zıddı biri olduğunu keşfeder: soğuk, hesapçı ve mesafeli. Ancak art arda yapılan suikast girişimleri sırasında Pheem’in soğuk duruşunun ardında saklanan acıyı ve yalnızlığı da görmeye başlar. Bu süreçte Than’ın sıcaklığı ve esprili tavrı, Pheem’in etrafına ördüğü duvarları yavaş yavaş eritmeye başlar.
