Nadat ze door God Ginrai van de aarde zijn verbannen, zetten de Autobots en Decepticons hun zoektocht naar een nieuwe planeet voort om hun basis te worden. Van haar kant sluit de Aarde zich aan bij de galactische vredesalliantie om zichzelf te beschermen tegen vijandelijke aanvallen, en om deze bedreigingen te bestrijden wordt de galactische verdedigingsmacht gecreëerd, gebaseerd op planeet V, waarbij Star Sabre de krachtigste Cybertonian van het universum is commandant. Na een korte periode van vrede is er een vreselijke dreiging teruggekeerd: Deszaras, een meedogenloze Decepticon die jaren geleden werd verslagen door Star Sabre, opgesloten naast zijn fort, in een donkere nevel zonder energie.
