Veertig jaar geleden bracht de Britse rockgroep Queen hun zesde album uit: 'News of the World', tegen de achtergrond van een steeds vijandig wordende muziekpers, die verliefd waren op punk. BBC-reporter Bob Harris had onbeperkte toegang en volgde de band in de studio, bij het maken van de clip, in de kleedkamer en tijdens de baanbrekende tournee door Noord-Amerika in 1977. Het album werd een groot succes, vooral dankzij de twee popklassiekers 'We Are the Champions' en 'We Will Rock You' en de performances van Freddie Mercury en consorten.
