Chief Inspector Felix Voss - in his first case without his long-time partner Paula Ringelhahn, but strongly supported by Wanda Goldwasser and his current driver Fred - wonders: What connections led to the bicycle dealer's gruesome death? A visit to the victim's mother, Erika Schönfeld, reveals a loving mother-son relationship, and the pain is immense. In their further attempt to reconstruct Schönfeld's life, Felix and Wanda encounter the blind Lisa Blum.
