레이첼(매시 맥레인)은 짝사랑하는 연극반 남학생과 밤새 파티를 하고 돌아온 후 어머니에게 그 모습을 들키고 만다. 결국 외출금지와 함께 이모가 사는 시골마을로 떠나야만 했던 레이첼이지만, 그녀는 그곳에서 하나님을 다시 영접하고는 신실한 아이가 된다. 그리고 자신의 신념에 따라 없는 자와 낮은 자를 위해 힘쓰게 된 레이첼. 그러면서 그토록 원하던 연극의 여자 주인공까지 따내게 된 그녀는 더욱더 자신의 믿음에 감사하게 된다. 그러면서 주변 인들에게도 자신의 믿음을 전파하게 되는 레이첼. 한편 학교에서 따돌림을 당하던 에릭(David Errigo Jr.)과 딜런(Cory Chapman)은 평소 자신들을 괴롭히던 풋볼 팀들에게 복수의 칼날을 갈고 있었다. 나치즘에 심취한 그들은 역대급 범죄를 준비하게 되고, 그들의 분노는 콜럼바인 고등학교의 선량한 아이들까지 큰 위험으로 몰아넣게 되는데...
