タキオンの発見によりタイムトラベルが実現した未来、人類は中生代白亜紀と現在とを自由に行き来し、白亜紀の地球にコロニーを作っていた。そして、時空管理局が誇る巨大タイムマシーン・コセイドン号を駆る特別チーム、タイムGメン・コセイドン隊が白亜紀とタイムトラベルの安全を守っていた。 2001年、日本が熱線と冷凍光線の攻撃を受け、その攻撃は白亜紀からのものであると分かる。この異常事態に対して、時空管理局からの要請を受けてコセイドン号が出動、白亜紀で調査を開始した。そこで彼らは地球外からの逃亡者・アルタシヤ姫とお付きのロボット・ビックラジイに出会う。彼女たちを追ってやって来た侵略者ゴドメス星人は地球を新たな侵略目標と定めて行動を開始し、コセイドン隊はゴドメス星人の地球侵略を阻止するために戦うこととなる。
