個性豊かな5人の刑事たち…警察官である前に普通の20代、30代の男女である彼ら彼女らが、それぞれの背景、事情を抱えて難解な事件に挑んでいく。つまり複数の視点が同時展開する新しいタイプの群像劇だ。 ドラマでは年齢も性別も、生活環境も大きく違う2人の刑事を一組として、ひとつの事件に対して複数のアプローチが同時進行。常にどこかの班が動き続けていることによって、飽きさせないスピーディーな展開を作り出していく。 その展開の中心にいる刑事たちは、若年層でも共感できる要素を持った、一般人と同じ悩みを持っている。そんな彼らが東京で発生する不可解な事件、犯罪を解決するため、自発的に動いていく。
