精神科医の浅野岳史（赤井英和）は妻・樹子（稲森いずみ）、娘・花（林エリカ）と郊外の一軒家で幸せな家庭生活を送っている。そんな岳史を“理想の男性”と公言し、度々浅野家に訪ねてくるのが、樹子の妹・杉田鈴（鈴木紗理奈）だ。鈴は普通のOLだが、人が争っている場面に遭遇すると失神してしまうことがある。会社内でも何度かそんな症状が現れた為、鈴は上司から病院での検査を勧められる。彼女はすぐに岳史の病院を訪ねるが、彼は留守だった。その時、岳史と同じ病院に勤める松岡哲也（袴田吉彦）は鈴に一目惚れをする。そんなある日、岳史が病院で残業している所に鈴が訪ねて来た。鈴は岳史に「一度でいいから抱いてほしい」と迫る。岳史は一端断るが、雨の中で自殺しようとした鈴を引き留め体を暖めている内に、あまりの哀れさに彼女を抱いてしまう。それが原因で一家の悲劇は始まった…。
