Alga Wahyu Aditya
Alga Wahyu Aditya is an Indonesian filmmaker and writer. He made his debut with a short horror film titled "The Door (2024)" which he created with his cousin. He is inspired by directors such as Ingmar Bergman, Andrei Tarkovsky, David Lynch, Stanley Kubrick and Martin Scorsese. He made his debut with the horror genre, but his second film, Edward Loneman (2024), marked the beginning of Alga's directorial style, featuring non-linear storytelling, absurd dialogue, the use of jazz music, sudden use of overlay, poetic narrative and complex characters. His directorial styles also showcases a surreal style and the use of liminality with long shots.
