少年は残酷な弓を射る
自由を重んじ、それを満喫しながら生きてきた作家のエヴァは、妊娠を機にそのキャリアを投げ打たざるを得なくなる。それゆえに生まれてきた息子ケヴィンとの間にはどこか溝のようなものができてしまい、彼自身もエヴァに決して心を開こうとはしなかった。やがて、美少年へと成長したケヴィンだったが、不穏な言動を繰り返した果てに、エヴァの人生そのものを破壊してしまう恐ろしい事件を引き起こす。
