宇宙船の操縦士として長期のミッションに出ていたミルズ。しかし、予期せぬ事故で未知の惑星に不時着してしまう。なんとそこは、6500万年前の地球だった。彼以外に生き残っていたのは、言葉の通じない少女コアだけ。ミルズは恐竜たちから少女を守りながら、離れたところに落下した脱出用小型船を目指すことに。しかし、そんな２人に、恐竜を絶滅させた巨大隕石の衝突という最大の危機が迫っていた。
