世界中の子供たちに愛されているレゴブロックのバイオニクルシリーズをストーリー化した劇場用アニメーション作品。伝説の楽園マタ・ヌイ島を舞台。平和に暮らしていた住民たちであったが、邪悪な存在・マクータが訪れ、島を闇に包んでしまった。そのマクータによる脅威から島を救うため、トーアと呼ばれる6人の勇者が立ち上がった。そして6人の勇者のうちのジャラとタクアの二人は、長老から7人目の勇者を探すよう頼まれ旅に出る。マクータの手下たちの妨害工作をジャラとタクアは他の勇者たちの協力を得て、退けていく。ジャラやタクアたちはマクータを倒し、島の住民を救うことができるのか？
