崩壊寸前の4人家族が、ある大きな屋敷に引っ越してくる。一家の10代の少女クロエは、家の中に自分たち以外の何かが存在しているように感じてならなかった。“それ”は一家が引っ越してくる前からそこにいて、“それ”は人に見られたくない家族の秘密を目撃する。クロエは母親にも兄も好かれておらず、そんな彼女に“それ”は親近感を抱く。一家とともに過ごしていくうちに、“それ”は目的を果たすために行動に出る。
