MUDr. Ludsky prešetruje smrť policajta, ktorý umrel po jedinom údere od majstra bojových umení. Goranov podriadený na majstra a jeho žiakov zaútočil bejzbalovou pálkou, motívom bola údajne žiarlivosť. Ludsky nevie dokázať, že išlo o úmyselné zabitie, ale na prípade mu niečo od začiatku nesedí. Goran zastaví vyšetrovanie a Ludsky sa do pátrania pustí sám. Odhalí, že mŕtvy policajt je len jednou časťou omnoho väčšej skladačky, ktorej príbeh siaha do dávnej minulosti. Získanie dôkazu vyžaduje, aby Ludsky riskoval svoj vlastný život. Nekonvenčný súdny znalec musí bojovať aj na druhom fronte - Horváthov pacient takmer zomrel, keď mu prasklo slepé črevo. Obráti sa na Ludského, aby mu pomohol vypracovať žalobu na Horvátha.
